AI advisor for small businesses · from £195

Someone to ask about AI who'll also tell you when not to use it.

Plain-English advice from someone who builds with these tools every week: which tools are worth paying for, whether your data is ready, what to keep away from AI, how to roll out Copilot or ChatGPT without leaking the wrong files, and where an AI agent (software that carries out a task for you, start to finish) would save real hours.

What an hour can cover

Which AI tools are worth paying for, and whether your data is ready for them.

What to keep away from AI, and how to roll out Copilot or ChatGPT without leaking the wrong files.

Where an agent would save real hours, and where a plain automation would do the job for less.

A few lines on what you're trying to decide, so the hour goes on your situation rather than a tour of the tools.

I build with it

Advice from someone who runs these tools every week.

I build with these tools in my own business, and that's where the advice comes from.

A weekly AI search check

A job that runs every week and checks how my own site shows up in AI search answers.

A connector to my mail and calendar

A connector that lets Claude, an AI assistant, read my mail and calendar. Built for my own business and used there.

Talks on AI for data people

I speak at conferences and user groups on AI for people who work with data, as a Power BI Consultant and AI Strategist.

Copilot over Power BI

Switching Copilot on over your reports is its own job.

If the AI question is really about Copilot answering questions from your Power BI reports, the AI-Ready Power BI Assessment covers it: £2,950 fixed, thirty real business questions tested against your models before you switch it on. The advisor work covers everything around it.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AI advisor cost?

An AI hour is £195: one call and a written summary afterwards. The monthly advisor comes in three tiers: Light at £350 a month for a monthly hour plus email questions, Standard at £1,250 a month for two days, and Lead at £2,400 a month for four days. Hours are capped, unused time doesn't roll over, and you can cancel any month.

Is my data safe with AI tools?

It depends on the tool, the plan you're on and what you put into it, which is why it's usually the first thing we look at. Business plans handle your data differently from free ones, and Microsoft 365 Copilot can see whatever your existing permissions let each person open, so a safe rollout starts with checking who can open what.

Will you tell us not to use AI?

Yes, when that's the honest answer. Plenty of jobs are better done by a plain automation, a tidier spreadsheet or nothing at all. You're paying for a straight answer, and sometimes that answer saves you a subscription.

Do you just advise, or do you build too?

I build. I run AI jobs in my own business every week, including a weekly check on how my site shows up in AI search answers and a connector that lets Claude read my mail and calendar. If the advice turns into a build, it's priced separately: an automation from £950, or an embedded block.

What about Copilot over our Power BI reports?

That has its own fixed-price assessment. The AI-Ready Power BI Assessment, £2,950, tests whether your semantic models give Copilot correct answers before you switch it on. The advisor work covers the wider question of which AI tools to use, where, and how to roll them out.
