Yesterday I got to attend Data Decoded Manchester.
First time at a Data Decoded event, and the location is excellent. So many vendors too!
After the main event, three local user groups get to host their meetups there, and I was kindly invited by Alex Taylor and Johnny Winter of the Manchester Fabric and Power BI User Group to give a talk.
Rob Sewell went first and gave a masterclass on Fabric tools.
Then it was my turn.
For the first time ever, I gave a talk with just one slide, and that one slide is just my face, the talk name and some links for my website, user group etc.

BECAUSE.
The talk is 100% live demo.
I used Tugger as my data source, told Claude where the connection was for the data, and that I needed a Power BI report building.

While that whirled away, I gave context on HOW it was going to do it, using Obsidian as my AI wiki and Claude's new dashboarding and animation tool.

It built a one-page board-level overview of 6, yes 6, different systems.
Xero, QuickBooks, Shopify, Cin7, HubSpot and BreatheHR.

And it did it with flying colours: quickly, accurately and to a decent standard.
It did have errors, I did try and make jokes, things did go wrong, but it was bloody fun, I got lots of great feedback, and I managed a full live demo without the laptop exploding or Anthropic falling over. So that's a win.
We also brought a lot of beers, which went down so well!
Here's a screenshot of what it produced, and I'll publish the report to the Tugger website soon for people to play with.
